An Oni, is a bad scary ogre, and they proceeded and followed the procession, sometimes shrieking and waving sticks at the children who ran after them calling 'Oni-san, Oni-san!' but sometimes they dished out candies and beans, as was the case with these young muscians who, while enjoying a position of privilege on the cart, missed out on all the goodies earlier.
