Our hotel was a fairly traditional hotel, but at the same time so relaxed and welcoming. Rooms consisted of futons on tatami mats, a low table in the corner, a few hangers on the wall, the omnipresent television, and a very loud heater. As our room was at the back of the hotel, we faced out on to a beautiful snow covered hill. As all 'facilities' in the hotel, were communal, the shower was actually a little mini Onsen. ( click on the word Onsen for more info, y'all are getting the hang of this right ? ) I was a bit chicken though, and only went when I knew it would be empty.
