On Sunday at the insistance of one of the partners at Owain's office we took these crazy little pods up the mountain and made our way across to Ichinose Family area. We had to traverse for awhile across narrow flat sections at the top of the mountain, ( very difficult for snowboarders gripped by The Fear ) which resulted in several wipeouts on my part, and the aforementioned partner towing me on his skis. Ignominious an introduction to Owain's collegues as this was, it was so beautiful, and there were so many countless different lifts and slopes, it and well worth the humiliation.
