In a modern and rather convient twist to Hanami enjoyment, Pizzahut delivery guys cruised through the crowded park, mobile phones in hand, delivering pizza under the trees. And in a rather Japanese twist, our pizza had asparagus and shrimp on it. Maybe all pizzas do now, I dont think I have had pizza hut in decades. As the sun set and the temperature dropped someone got the kerosene stove in action and started heating up the sake. Some time later, as most sensible people headed off, we hung around vaguely helped pack up and Kanno-san mentioned another party if we wanted to come. Which was probably our cue to leave. But instead we piled into cabs, headed off to Shibuya which is the heart of all Tokyo madness and into a karaoke joint.
