( quick everybody to the left of the frame )Computer still very moody so I will quickly say we went to Shimoda for a nice, mellow weekend and Marlena was brilliant - well, easy and content, most of the time. True, we did take a huge rollie suitcase and her bouncy chair and her car seat for all of two days away. No more traveling light. Still it felt like a huge accomplishment just to get out for a change of scenery - the first in a long, long time. It was so hot, we ventured out on one tiny hike but didn't get far ... how can you have an ocean, the Pacific no less, and no breeze ? at all ? Worried little M might over heat we mainly stuck to the shade & cafes.
