With my two main gyeon buddies temporarily indisposed ( My Akasaka friend had a baby ! ) I realized I actually better make good on my leaf hunt sooner rather then later. So Marlena and I ventured over to Shinjuku Gyeon today. The leaves seem kind of weird this year, still beautiful but very subdued. Maybe we were too early, or too late, or maybe the very hot year we had has some how affected the fall foliage. The park was strangely quiet when I was expecting armies of photographers. Anyway Marlena seemed to have a good time checking out the sights when I could get them in her line of vision and smiling on cue for passing admirers.
