motherhood - the brutal and the sweet

Perhaps it is a bit strange to document our time in hospital here, but thing is, we are kind of regulars there. It now seems an indisputable part of these babies first year. (I am hoping it stops there) Unfortunately the aforementioned lung virus landed the babes back in hospital. First G for 6 days, and then after just 24 hours back home it became evident V needed to go in as well. Basically any cough type cold goes straight to their lungs - causing a condition called Bronchiolitis - which makes it hard for them to breathe and eat. So they go to the hospital for monitoring, 02 and feeding tubes. All of which they hate. Last time was much more severe and terrifying. At least this time we knew a little better what to expect. But it was still a shock to find ourselves back there. Apparently its been a bumper year for bronchiolitis - rotten luck for such small babies. V is still on the mend, but we are all home now and very much hoping it stays that way.
