pleeeeease, just make a pretty face ?
While not exactly easy walking distance, the botanical gardens are pretty close to our house and have pretty quickly become the favorite weekend destination. I know there is more out there to explore, but we have yet to tire of the gardens. Which in addition to beautiful strolling has nice cafes and some of the swankiest public loos ever. Today we set out in heavy rain so that M could test out her new umbrella. It is actually her first umbrella and she is pretty amazed at its powers. Much to her dismay the rain tapered off after a coffee break and it made for a nice cool & quiet day for the rest of us to wander around. We checked out the National Orchid Garden for the first time. Very manicured, and very pretty. Naptime was calling and orchids not really M's thing when there are muddy puddles elsewhere, so we didn't stay long. But I imagine we will return.

It is beautiful, but I can't fault M for her love of puddles. ;)
