Trick or Treat !

Our neighborhood (a few quiet streets just minutes from some very big ones) celebrated Halloween on Saturday. The little roads behind our condo, consisting mainly of houses, were completely in the trick or treat spirit. The night was buzzing with costumed kids, wine sloshing adults and candy. It really felt like Halloween as I remember it. Here, in the heart of Singapore. Who would have guessed it ? While the twins were home in bed (so tempting to show them off, but it was well past their bed time) this was M's first proper trick or treat. We did not know what to expect but it was so much fun to watch her head out into a dark, quiet night, turn the corner and find the street full of wee superheroes. (And yes, at least one other fairy) It took her a while to believe you are meant to just go up to someones door and ask for a treat, but once she figured it out, no ghouls were gonna stop her. Also true to my childhood memories upon returning home and examining the haul, M's Daddy took what was definitely the best candy bar as payment for carrying her around. Guess they both catch on fast.
