stuck in traffic on the way home.

We are making better use of our zoo membership this year. It is a lot more interesting and manageable for the twins now. We have been trying to keep the trips there on the short side - but the day always sneaks away from us. And when it does it can be a long hot slog back from the kids zone to the parking lot. This time once again in danger of more then ice lollies melting down - we skipped the merry go round in favor of the boat. All kitted out like The African Queen, it skirts around the shore of Mandai lake and drops you a bit closer to the exit. The tapir, I will admit, was in its enclosure not the lake. But they are building a new river safari on the other side of the zoo.
