Today was actually jacket weather ! Which is strange and wonderful after the long hot summer. I met O for lunch, which I rarely do, because he is suppose to eat with his work colleagues. They are expected to move, ensemble, from their office table to their cafeteria table and back to their office table before the one o' clock bell. But I was in his neighborhood today so he ditched convention and we met up for sandwiches. (always was drawn to those rebellious types ) With 20 minutes to spare in his strictly monitored hour we crossed the street from his office to have a quick wander around the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. Not bad, an office across from the Imperial Palace, but oddly enough neither of us has ever been inside the gardens. They seem to only be open at complicated times like the second Wednesday of the month. It is more a series of massive walls and lawns then what you might expect of a garden, but in the land of the miniature its like stumbling into an alternative universe to walk through gates at least 10 feet thick and be dwarfed by giant moats.
