Last week, just a few days shy of one great nation's celebration of independence from another - (biting my tongue here, in case my American humor does not translate) - Marlena received her first passport. Looking like a right little tough guy in her picture.Hmmm.
Having bit my tongue I seem to have nothing left to say on the matter... next up the British Embassy for her UK passport, good for the whole EU. Lucky little thing will also have Europe as her playground. Oh please don't let the words 'Europe as her playground' come back to haunt me in 16 years.

The Batchen family has just sat here and gone through all the photos on your blog and Marlena with the passport just set us all with such a laugh and smile. The passport is as big as she is!!
