We have seen at least 3 monitor lizards since we have been here. Once at some old army barracks that now house furniture shops, once on Sentosa grubbing around some trash bins and 2 times in the botanical gardens. Though it is hard to portray in photos just how big they are, its always kind of an exciting reminder that we are in the tropics ! Sometimes, amidst all the air conned comforts one does need reminding.
