We got an annual pass to the zoo today... greenery, animals, and crazy fun splash area, it is a pretty well rounded day out. Not all the animals are happy, which is of course distressing. But there are no cages and elderly baboons and polar bear aside, most animals do appear to be comfortable & lively. It is sweet to watch M really take in her first lion or giraffe. Things that have previously only existed in books. They might as well be dinosaurs to her, and honestly, I think some of the obscure reptiles at this zoo probably are.
