kita kamakura

So much to catch up on. And soon its Christmas so just going to try and post a bunch of pictures. Our favorite day was probably to Kita Kamakura. We had the double buggy so we headed off a different road then we have previously taken, and previously taken guests, and suddenly we were in a Japanese fairy tale. Ah, so that is Kita-Kamakura. Everything was ancient and delicate and exquisite. In search of a picnic spot we climbed an impossibly steep hill, me pushing the double for a very long time. Only to find it lead to more steepness so settled for a spot on some ancient steps and then headed back down the hill. Where we spent a long time at an incredibly beautiful nearly empty temple. We had the place largely to ourselves as Japanese Maple leaves swirled to the ground and tall bamboo swayed. Dreamy. I think we both could have repeated that day over and over (minus the hike) and we had every intention of doing so at least one more time, but unfortunately didn't get the chance.
