I have been waiting to put up some photos of our trip until I could come up with a few words about the ambiance of Georgetown. But I will just have share some photos now and hopefully come back later with more photos and better descriptions. It is a very atmospheric place. Filled with crumbling but impressive 1920's architecture. Shuttered old shop houses still lived in by Malay, Indian and Chinese communities. We were fortunate to be there for Hari Raya the last day of Ramadan and the streets were buzzing with stalls and anticipation.

Didn't know you were going - went with Aaron in 2004. Stayed at The E&O Hotel. Did you see the Blue Mansion? Food was incredible... can't wait to hear more from your holiday.
