It has been a revolving door of colds this week, but we did squeeze in one last trip to the lantern festival which finishes this weekend. We were there a bit early - which is pretty silly, its definitely a night time thing ! The kids were grumps despite the rides and free flashing trinkets they chose instead of free paper lanterns. Lesson learned always insist they chose the paper lanterns. By the time the lights got into full swing they were all melting down and the cheap flashing things were long since broken and in the bin. Still looking back at that impressive bridge with lanterns reflecting in the water below and pagodas twinkling in the distance - it is still a magical memory.
